About Me
Michael A. Martin is a Branch Manager at WR Starkey Mortgage in Raleigh, North Carolina. Michael originally grew up in Alexandria, VA but moved to Sunset Beach in 1990. He attended East Carolina University and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. While Michael has been in the finance side of real estate now for over 6 years, his parents are on the sales and development end of the business as his father had a successful architectural firm in Old Town, Alexandria and his mother was and still is, a top producer in the real estate business in VA and now at the coast in Sunset Beach, North Carolina.
Michael has won several awards since beginning his career in the mortgage industry beginning in 2002 when he won “Rookie of the Year.” The following three years he was fortunate to be named “Top Producer” before he began to learn more about his passion to lead people and got into Sales Management. Today Michael is able to follow both passions of working directly with clients and leading a sales team to the places that they desire to go by introducing “The Martin Mortgage Group” within WR Starkey Mortgage.
Michael is proud to be working with Tom Deadmore, Team Loan Officer and wife Tonya Martin as Team Loan Coordinator. “We have taken the time to put systems in place to offer the best possible customer experience for our clients. We know that it takes a great experience from our current clients to deliver referrals from our past clients.”
Michael lives in Raleigh with his wife Tonya and their dog Maggie. Michael and Tonya have been married for three years.
